Audrey Mae Eliuk (Roen) passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the age of 75 years.  She leaves to mourn her; two sons, Lance (Sheri) of Sylvan Lake, AB and Grant (Waltra) of Innisfail, AB; sisters, Eileen Kinnaburgh of Innisfail, AB and Gwen Riley of Medicine Hat, AB as well as many friends and family in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. Audrey was predeceased by her husband, Walter in 2007; sister, Lorraine Himmelspeck in 2009; and her parents, Chris (1969) and Emma Jane Roen (1985). Audrey was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan in 1939 and was raised in Piapot, Saskatchewan where she met her husband, Walter.  In 1963 they moved to the family farm by Sylvan Lake and then to Innisfail in 1994. There Audrey worked at the Legion before she retired. The Celebration of Audrey’s Life will be held at the Innisfail Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #104 on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Audrey and Walter will find their final resting place in Piapot at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Audrey’s name to the Ladies Auxilary, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 104, 1-5108 49 Avenue, Innisfail, AB  T4G 1R1.
