Jean Elgood

Condolences to Bob, Gail and families. I shall miss my dear friend and baseball buddy and our Wednesday visits at "The Louie" where we set the world to rights these past few years. I have many good memories of our time together.

I was the Woodward's Department Manager from Feb 1976 till June 1977 for the Hardware/Automotive/Toys/ Garden Centre at the Park Royal Store. I had the pleasure of working with Jean for about 18 months before I was transferred to Lansdowne Store to open the new store in Richmond. She was a valued Section Head of Toys and as an employee for our store and was considered a lead Toy lady in the lower mainland. In addition, after her retirement from the store, she was a past President of the Woodpens' Club (Woodwards retirees club founded in 1983/4). I am very sorry to hear of her passing.
