We have lost our beloved Kimberly to Friedreich's Ataxia. She lived her life to the fullest, taking every opportunity offered. Her greatest passion was skiing with the Canadian Association for Disabled Skiing (CADS). We would like to thank relatives, friends, special caregivers, Dr. Turner and all who have made her life special. Kimberly is survived by parents, Marianne and Karl.

A Celebration will be held at Kensington Commons Church, 2404 Kensington Rd. NW, Calgary, AB on Monday, September 5, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. and her wish is that everyone wears casual clothes.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CADS.

Kim and I spent a lot of time together in our 20s. She was light hearted and fun to be with. Most importantly, she was a GREAT friend, one of the best I've had. Fly free, sweet friend!

Marianne & Karl. Kim was such a special person and the one that I always looked forward to seeing every time she was at the hill. A small tug on her hair always got a huge smile and a hello. Marianne and Karl. My deepest condolences on your loss of your beloved daughter. I remember Kim well from her elementary school days at W.O.Mitchell and remember her as a lovely girl, feisty and courageous despite her mobility problems. I have many great memories of Kim, first of being a caregiver of her's, always a joy to be around, later on I returned to see her as a friend and finally I enjoyed our last visit together in June with Jennifer and her dogs! I will always remember her as a happy and loving friend! Peace forever!

Leider habe ich diese traurige Nachricht erst heute gefunden und gelesen. Ich habe Kimi kennengelernt als Sie noch als kleines Mädchen mit Ihren Eltern und Ihren leider verstorbenen Bruder kennen gelernt. Ihren Vater (der aus Wien kommt) kenne ich schon seit der Zeit als er noch in Österreich lebte. Wir blieben immer in Verbindung. Da ich schon längere Zeit nichts mehr von der Familie gehört habe, machte ich mich auf die Suche im Internet. Meine Ahnung hat sich leider bestätigt. Kimi das Mädchen das von Ihren Eltern so geliebt wurde ist von Ihnen gegangen. Ich bin sehr, traurig darüber. Traurig für das Unvorstellbare was einen Elternpaar passieren konnte. Nicht nur ein Kind sondern zwei geliebte Kinder zu verlieren. Kimi... es ist schön Dich wenigsten einmal persönlich kennen gelernt zu haben. Den Eltern mein innigstes Beileid.
