DWIGHT DAVID AMBERSON, known to fellow co-workers as “Ike”, passed away peacefully in Regina, Saskatchewan on Sunday, October 5, 2025, surrounded by many loved ones in the Cardiac Care Unit at the General Hospital at the age of 72 years.

Born in Alberton, PEI on December 8, 1952 to David and Ferne Amberson while visiting family. Their family lived throughout Eastern Canada in Dwight’s early years with much of his schooling in Regina. Following high school at Thom Collegiate, he married Adrienne McFarland and they resided and raised their family in Regina until they moved to Indian Head in 2003. Dwight had a long and dedicated career with the Co-op Refinery and retired 12 years ago. Following his retirement, Dwight and Adrienne spent many years traveling the world with winters enjoyed in Mexico. Dwight also enjoyed hunting, fishing, time spent with family & buddies and watching his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Dwight is survived by his sons Shayne (Kristine and grandsons Ryden & Rhett) and Kelly (Stephanie and grandson Erik & granddaughter Isabella). He also leaves behind his sisters Rhonda Baker, Patti Leader and Susan Kallis, brothers Mitch and Scott, brothers & sisters in-laws, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

Dwight was predeceased by his wife Adrienne in 2024, daughter Michelle in 2014, mother Ferne, father David, sister Connie, brother Greg, in-laws and other special family members throughout the years.

A celebration of Dwight's life will be held in Regina at a later date.

Donations may be made in Dwight's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan.
