Donna Eloise Tappin

Donna Eloise Tappin (nee Kavalench)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend on May 17, 2025.

Donna was born in 1945 in Regina and raised in Moose Jaw by her mother and grandmother.

She met her husband John in 1968, and they married in 1970. They were just weeks away from celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary on May 30th, and mom would’ve turned 80 on December 13th. We plan to celebrate both occasions in a big way.

Donna was predeceased by her mother Doreen, grandmother Lottie, uncles Bill and Roy, father-in-law John, mother-in-law Margaret, sister-in-law Joanne, sister Deb, brother Robert, as well as numerous extended family members.

Donna is survived by her husband John and her children Ryan (Amanda), Angela (Mike) and Jordan, special siblings Donald, Dave and Bonnie and extended family members.

Mom had four special kitties who surrounded her with love in her final years and days. She is deeply missed by Irie, Bailey, Olivia and Izzie.

Her incredible strength, generosity and sense of humor was passed on to her children, and we will continue her legacy thanks to her beautiful gifts and teachings.

Thank you to the palliative home care team who provided comfort and love to our mother at home, in her final days.

A private celebration of life will take place this summer at her favorite place, the family acreage.

We take comfort knowing that she is now at peace and free from pain.
