Dirk Vantol

Dirk Louis Vantol, aged 88, of Langley, BC, went to be with his Saviour on May 25, 2026. Born in Holland, Dirk immigrated to Canada at the age of 17 as the eldest of eight children.

In 1962, he met the love of his life, Janice, and together they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage. Following his retirement, they loved to travel and were rarely seen apart. While his Parkinson’s diagnosis in 2008 naturally slowed life down, they continued to stay as active as possible together.

Dirk will be fondly remembered for his quick sense of humor, his passion for fishing and the outdoors, and the joy he found in the company of family and friends. Throughout his life, he was defined by his unwavering kindness, profound faith, and deep devotion to his family.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Janice Vantol; his daughters, Nancy (Glenn) and Anne-Marie (Dave); his four cherished grandchildren; and his surviving siblings, Bill (Carol) and John (Marilyn).

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 13th at 1:00 PM at the Fleetwood Gospel Hall (8725 158 St, Surrey, BC).
