It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, son, stepfather, and friend James “Craig” Dickin at the age of 44 years on May 11, 2016 in Regina, Saskatchewan. He is survived by and will be forever remembered by his loving wife Tamara Dickin, mother Jo Ann Gates, stepsons Matthew and Zachary Taylor (Jaylyn Harvey), mother-in-law Maura Thompson, father-in-law Ken Thompson, numerous brothers-in-law and sisters–in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many good friends. Craig was predeceased by his father Jim Dickin, his brother Chad Dickin, and his stepfather Larry Gates.
Craig always had a passion for the outdoors, sports, and his animals Race, Jax and Ryu. Craig would spend countless hours adventuring outdoors and fishing with friends and family. Throughout his life, he would continue to show great pride in his home and his yard. Travelling became a great desire for Craig, adventuring to different places and seeing his favorite sports teams with his loving family. One of his favorite past-times was golfing with his family, summer after summer. Craig’s ongoing passion for photography and film drove his creative soul through a degree at the University of Regina. Craig lived vigorously through his passion for the outdoors working for Wascana Centre Authority.
Every person he encountered will dearly miss Craig. We are happy to have lived such a beautiful life with such a great man. A special thank you to family and friends for their continuous support. As per Craig’s wishes, there will be no service. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Flowers most gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations to an education fund for Craig’s stepsons (c/o Tamara Dickin) or the Regina Humane Society Inc., P.O. Box 3143 STN Main, Regina, SK. S4P 9Z9.
The tears in my eyes I can wipe away, the ache in my heart will always stay.
