Rodney Deschambault

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend Rodney Deschambault at the young age of 48 years.

Rodney was born on January 10, 1973 in Squamish, B.C. Rodney grew up in Fort Qu’Appelle, SK and then lived in Qu’Appelle, SK for his teenager years before leaving to join the Canadian Armed Forces, the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry. This was one of the proudest moments for my son as it was his dream to join the Canadian Forces and Serve his Country.

Rodney is survived by his mother Darlene Deschambault (nee Pelletier); his brothers Richard and his son Noah, Isaac (Brandi) and their son Charlie, Steven and his son Dylan; stepfather Mike Longpre; stepsisters Brook, Odile and Jessy Longpre; aunts and uncles Earl (Tully) Pelletier, Lucy Dunlop, Pat (Murray) Hilderman, Jeff (Shelly) Pelletier, Joyce (Harley) Toth, Angie (Mike) Smith, Joyce Braumberger and Iris Cyr; numerous cousins; Janice Graham a special person in Rodney’s life and a friend that he cherished and respected; and his father Rick Deschambault. Rodney was predeceased by his grandparents Peter and Katherine Pelletier; uncle Gary Pelletier; cousin Jason Currie; one of his best friends Chad Renton; grandparents Adam and Flodine Deschambault; uncles Gerald, Dale, Ron and Daryl Deschambault; aunts Audrey, Patricia, Marg, Diane, Rosalie, Donna, Geraldine and Sharon; and numerous cousins.

Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Lebret, SK. A gathering in the church basement for lunch and coffee will follow the graveside service. All Covid-19 guidelines need to be followed.
