Dolores "Dolly” Theresa Dermody, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the age of 72 years. She is predeceased by her husband Lorne Dermody; parents Florian and Julia Materie; and sister Rose. Dolores is survived by her children Loren (Shane), Jay (Krista), Kirk (Brenda), and Shawn (Linda); grandchildren Katie, Kara, Brody, Andrew, Ridge (Allie), Kash, and Tyde; one great grandchild Autumn; two brothers Jim (Cathy) and Tony (Bernice).
Dolly was a free spirit with a passion for life that took her traveling all over the world. From hula dancing in Hawaii to the numerous rounds of golf out at Regina Beach, she was always surrounded by the many friends she made along the way. Her strong will and unique outlook on life made being with her pure joy and always a good time!
During the month of February, in typical Dolly style, she had a celebration of her life along with family and friends. Therefore, at Dolly's request, there will be no funeral service held, but instead, a private gathering for the immediate family out at the beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice or the Regina Palliative Care Inc.
