Melvin George Derksen

The family of Melvin George Derksen are saddened to announce his passing on October 29th, 2020 at the age of 73.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Judy, his children: Sherry (Harvey); Tracy (Linda); Rick (Andrea), his much loved grandchildren: Jon, Nicole(Bobby), Breanna (Chris), Ryan, Zachary (Karissa) & Trinity. He also leaves behind his brother’s Dave & Bill(Jean) as well as his in-laws: Bob(Celiena); Lynda; Norma (Ron); Joy (Dave), and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Isaac & Katarina, sister Sarah, brothers John and Henry, his father in law Norm, mother in law Flora and brother in law Russell.
He will be very missed but we are truly relieved that he is no longer in pain or suffering.
Due to Covid-19, we will not be having a celebration of his life until the spring, when hopefully we can all gather together. In lieu of flowers we are asking that if you want to give, please make a donation in his name to one of the following, as he suffered from all three afflictions:
Rheumatoid Arthritis Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alberta Cancer Society (Liver).

Hi Judy, I am so sad to hear of Mels passing. Just when we are supposed to be enjoying all of our hard works earnings, we lose a partner. Colin passed in 2006 from throat cancer. So so very sorry. Hugs my Dear Friend from long ago. Torrington Days. Love Ferne ❌⭕️ ~ Ferne Simpson
