Todd Michael De Decker

Todd passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the age of 44 at his home in Regina Pioneer Village, Regina, Saskatchewan.

Todd was predeceased by his loving grandparents Mike and Lillian Muhr and his son Austin Sleightholm. Todd is survived by his loving mother Shirley Muhr; his sisters Stacey Muhr (Mel) and Rhonda Kew (Dale); nieces Mackenzie Kotylak (Greg), Kendell (Loren), Martina (Zach), Daelynn, Damara and Danae; auntie Madeline Dorosh and very special family friends that spent time with Todd.

Todd was born on June 9, 1978 and in December of 2012 he settled in with his new family at Regina Pioneer Village. Being the youngest one, he was greeted and accepted openly and taken under everyone’s wing. Todd was like a family member to the other residents. He was well liked by all the staff and residents. When you ran into him in the common area, hallway or his favorite spot in front of the pop machine, you were always greeted with a smile, friendly hello and if you were lucky enough a big hug could follow. Todd had a huge heart and, in the end, it was just that which took him to his peaceful place.

Shirley and Stacey would like to thank Dr. Alex Wong, Dr. Eisa, Dr. Abaguda, all the medical professionals who helped Todd over the years and all the staff and residents at Regina Pioneer Village who took care of him and made his last years of his life special, we thank you all for this.

You will be sadly missed Todd and lovingly remembered by all who’s lives you’ve touched.

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in Regina Pioneer Village Chapel, 430 Pioneer Drive, Regina, Saskatchewan (masks are required). In lieu of flowers, donations in Todd’s memory may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Saskatchewan Division (www.sk.cmha.ca) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ca).
