Frank Junior Dawley

It is with mixed emotions of sadness and relief that the family of Frank Junior Dawley announces his passing.  Frank was born in Lethbridge Alberta on September 27, 1931.  He passed away June 2, 2017 in Olds Alberta surrounded by his family.

 

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Marilyn and his children Terry Read (Murray), Ron Dawley (Marsha), Bob Dawley, Barb Lamoureux (Marc) and Shirley Dawley-Liknes (Gilbert) as well as 16 grandchildren and 20 great grand-children. Frank came from a large family, being the oldest of 11 children, and had an extensive circle of friends and “adopted” family that will cherish his memory. 

 

Frank’s professional career in municipal government started in Barons and took him to Barrhead before he settled in Didsbury.   After 35 years of work, Frank and Marilyn were able to enjoy 30 years of  retirement including time spent in Arizona, various hobbies, raising miniature donkeys and watching grandbabies grow.

 

A Celebration of Frank Dawley’s Life will be held on Thursday June 8, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Elks Hall,  Didsbury.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be forwarded to the Olds and District Hospice Society at Box 70026, 6700 46 Street, Olds Alberta T4H 3Z0
