Fred Joseph Davies

It is with such a heavy heart to learn of Fred's passing. As I came to know him while visiting and caring for Fr. Tom at Carrington (4.5 years). We shared many wonderful times and laughs together as we shared many meals at the table over those years. I took many photographs of Fred as well, as he had such a beautiful smile! In addition both he and Fr. Tom shared their birthdays in May and were only days apart. Fred always made me laughed with his positive outlook, and great sense of humour. He would always tease me about wanting my sparkly jewelry. He complemented me on how he liked it and then would ask if he could have it, saying there was someone special he would like to give it to. Later he would make comments that when he saw a sparkling piece of jewelry he would think of me. The memories that I will cherish of Fred are when he spoke of his life, his younger days in the service and when he spoke of the times being with his family; on the boat with his son and being able to travel. That is when you truly know you are a friend and have made a special connection that you treasure! My sincere and heartfelt condolences are to his family and friends. RIP Fred, you will be missed! I will cherish all my lovely photographs of you and all those wonderful times connected with them.
