May 28, 2026

Daisy Elizabeth Edwards nee Lumsden, aged 88 of Langley, BC passed away peacefully on May 28th at home surrounded by family.

Born in Edmonton, Daisy and her family moved frequently before settling in the lower mainland in 1968. Daisy started her career as a hairdresser and was known for her adventurous colours. As her family grew, she decided to start an in-home family childcare where she provided loving care for many children. She loved children and volunteered for many years as a Girl Guide leader.

Daisy also had a passion for cooking and baking for people. For many years she volunteered at her church organizing and cooking church dinners – This led to her getting a position with a camp cooking meals for large groups of campers. Daisy enjoyed experimenting and trying out different recipes. She passed her love of cooking to her children. She was well known for her loving hospitality. Her door was always open for any family or friends to stop by.

Daisy was predeceased by her parents Margaret and James and her son-in-law Steve. She is survived by her devoted husband Ray, her children Karen, Daryl (Janet), Charlene (Frank) and Eileen.
Grandchildren Christopher, David, Joshua (Erin), Victoria (Ryan), Jessica, Jonathan (Amanda), and Jocelyn (Wade). Great-Grandchildren Simon, Addison, Amelia, and Selina. Siblings Jean (Ken) and George (Linda) and many in laws, nieces and nephews and other family.

Daisy will be missed by all but we hold on to the hope of seeing her whole and well in heaven.
