We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our son, brother, father, grandpa, uncle and friend. We are comforted to know he is now with the Lord. Ian Jorge Cyr, late of Regina, Saskatchewan passed away suddenly at his home in Regina on February 15, 2022 at the age of 47.
Left to celebrate his life are his grandmother Louise Cyr and mother Lyn Cyr; daughters Ellan Wood, Shavonea Cyr and son Tyro Cyr; grandchildren Shiloh, Oscar and Tobie; his sisters Brenda Jimmy, Virginia Jimmy, Ramona Paddy, Tammy Cyr, Bonnie Chowace (Clayton) and Angela Cyr; his brothers Ryan Cyr (Sharese), Shane Cyr, Daniel Cyr (Lannette) and Nathan Quewezance; stepfather Ron Quewezance; and many loved aunts, uncles and cousins. Ian was predeceased by his father George Jimmy, his brother Sonny Osecap and many other loved family members including his beloved nephew Rueben Cyr.
Ian was born in Regina, Saskatchewan. He was proud of his achievements which included receiving his GED and training as a floor installer. Ian worked with a flooring company for many years and blessed many people with his renovation skills. Ian excelled at sports which included volleyball, soccer, ping pong and golf among others. Ian always had a big smile on his face, a great sense of humor and lived life to the fullest. He respected the Lord and kept his Bible close.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in Morning Star Ministries, 3540 - 6th Avenue, Regina, Saskatchewan. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. in Morning Star Ministries. Interment will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. on Thunderchild First Nation, Saskatchewan.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations can be made to Phoenix Residential Society in Ian’s memory.
