Bud (Albert) passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the age of 90 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Jonelle Crooks, Kasey Crooks and Jennifer Savery; daughter-in-law, Bev Pretty; and friends, Marian McBeth, Rod and Alison Verity and Hank and Helen Murzyn. Bud was predeceased by his daughter, Barbie Hegenbart; son, Richard Crooks; mother, Lillian Gerlitz; and father, William Robert Douglas Crooks. Bud enjoyed walking and socializing with friends. In his earlier years, he was a truck driver with United Van Lines. He volunteered for the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. Bud was an avid fan of hockey and golf, being a golfer and enjoying work at the golf course. Buds family would like to send a special shout out to Susan Wood and all the care staff at Cedars Villa Extendicare in Calgary for taking such good care of him in his final years.
