Theresa Coulombe

Theresa Coulombe, at age 81, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, June 30th, 2013 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital.  She was born in 1932 in Transcona, Manitoba where she lived her entire life before retiring to British Columbia in 1988 with her loving husband, Ralph.  Predeceased by her husband Ralph, her sisters Lil, Rita and Alma, and her brothers Wilfred and Edward, Theresa is survived by her brothers David Martin (Mary), Paul Martin (Gail), and her children, Irene Hardy (George), Henry Coulombe (Zelda), Margaret Green (Richard), Annette Trimbee (Kevin), David Coulombe (Val) and Monique "the caboose" Vieira (Roger).  As well, she is survived by her 14 grandchildren, Rachel, Chris, Michelle, Lisa, Rob, Dan, David, Gillian, Kieren, Sarah, Dale, Nicole and Emily, and 21 (and counting) great-grandchildren.

Armed with her camcorder for many years, Theresa had an innate interest in capturing the joy of life and family around her.  In her later years, Theresa began recording programs of interest so she could later share her favorite "Tenors" or the many beautiful sights around our great province.

The family would like to thank the helpful and caring staff at Langley Memorial and Abbotsford Regional Hospitals.  A celebration of Theresa's life will be held at 14877 - 33 Avenue in South Surrey on Friday, July the 5th at 1:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Theresa's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Theresa will be truly missed!

You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence for the family.

Messages of Condolence

For more than 20 years Theresa treated my children, Brian and I like family. I will always remember having Theresa serve Irene and myself my favorite lunch which consisted of grilled cheese and tomato soup. This was the ultimate comfort food of champions growing up in Manitoba. We will miss you. ~ Shelley Henuset
