Colette Marie Smith

June 23, 2026

May 11, 1970 - June 23, 2026

It is with deep sadness and immense love that we announce the passing of Colette Marie Smith on June 23, 2026  at the Christine  Morrison Hospice in Mission, B.C.  She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Morgan Smith(Graham),  parents Bill and Myronia Smith, sister Lhea, her cherished nieces Brittany, Hailey and Mackenzie and her extended families. Colette was predeceased by her brother Sheldon and infant niece Jasmine. She is reunited with her brother whose memory she carried with her every day. Colette took immense pride in her work as a care aid for over 15 years. The people spoke highly of her caring, compassion and her kindnesses. Her family and friends remember Colette for her willingness to help others, her strong work ethic  and  for the unconditional love she showed.  They talk about Colette's humorous  stories making them laugh  and  she was always ready for a celebration or a gathering of family and friends when her health allowed it. Colette always remembered special days and reached out to those she loved. Colette faced what life brought her with strength, determination and grace, however only those closest to her knew just how much she suffered with long enduring chronic pain. The family takes comfort in knowing she is now in peace.  We thank  the wonderful staff at the Christine Morrison Hospice for their special care, compassion and kindness shown to Colette as well as her family. Colette will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.

I wanted to extend my heartfelt condolences to Colette’s family. Although I hadn’t heard from her since high school I thought about her through the years & wanted to reconnect. We had so many fun times in Girl Guides & school. I remember going to her place after school & her hiding some kind of vegetable matter in a plant in the kitchen & how amazed that they had a microwave in their house…. She was a funny , sweet friend & I will carry her memory in my heart 🫶
