In Loving Memory of Clemence Jeanne Proctor

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Clemence Jeanne Proctor, who passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026, at the age of 87.

Born in St. Boniface, Manitoba, Clemence grew up in Winnipeg before eventually making British Columbia her home. She worked for many years at the Richmond Public Library, where her warmth, kindness, and genuine interest in others made a lasting impression on both colleagues and patrons.

Clemence embraced life with an adventurous spirit. She loved to travel, enjoyed preparing delicious meals for family and friends, and cherished every opportunity to bring people together. Her home was always a place of welcome. Every summer, family from near and far looked forward to visiting because they knew they would be greeted with warmth, laughter, and open arms by Clemence and Al. She had a rare gift for making everyone feel comfortable, valued, and completely at home.

Those who knew Clemence will remember her gentle nature, her caring heart, and her quiet strength. She listened without judgment, offered kindness freely, and made lasting friendships wherever she went. Her warmth and compassion touched countless lives, and her legacy lives on in the many people who were fortunate enough to know her.

Clemence shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Al, with whom she celebrated 68 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a loving home filled with family, friendship, and cherished memories.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Al; her daughter, Lisa (Brent); her cherished granddaughter, Ally (Ryan); her nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Michael, in 1998, whose memory she carried in her heart every day.

Although our hearts are heavy with grief, we are deeply grateful for the love, kindness, and compassion Clemence shared so generously. Her gentle spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, where family and friends will gather to honour Clemence's life, share memories, and celebrate the remarkable woman she was.
