1926 – 2021

John “Jack” of Didsbury, Alberta passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 95 years young.

Jack was born September 1, 1926 I the old Disbury Hospital to George & Dorothy Clarke. Jack was raised East of Didsbury on the Clarke Farm. He went to the Mona School also East of Didbsury until grade 9.

On June 9, 1949 he married Elinor, the love of his life. Together they had six children. Jack was a lifetime member of the Didsbury Elks. He was an avid curler, loved playing pool with the guys at the 5-0 club in Didsbury, also playing crib.

Jack enjoyed family time. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of his life.

He will be lovingly remember by his family, Steve, Tom, Mike, Shirley, Joanna and families; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 sisters. Jack was predeceased by his lovingwife, Elinor; infant son, Kenny; sons-in-law, Ken Gebers and Bill Ahlgrin. He will be loved & missed.
