Cheryl (Jean) Kesslering Obituary

Cheryl passed away peacefully the morning of February 12th, surrounded by family.

Cheryl was born January 21, 1948 in Morden, Manitoba and was the youngest of Gordon and Christina Thomson’s 2 children. Cheryl is predeceased by her parents and older brother, Glen.

Cheryl leaves behind and is remembered by her husband of 41 years Bruce Kesslering, son Michael (Nicole). She will be remembered by Sisters-in-law Sandy Thomson and Diana (John Aune), brothers-in-law Duncan (Lois) and Monte (Dawn). Cheryl will be missed by her many friends and family in Wynyard and across Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Alberta that she impacted on a daily basis.

Cheryl and Bruce lived and worked in Regina before moving to Yorkton in 1988 and finally to Wynyard in 1992. In Wynyard, Cheryl was a diligent administrator at the RCMP office until retirement. She was heavily involved in the local community through her love of horticulture and sports.

Cheryl was known for her love of the outdoors, morning walks, legendary baking, and small acts of kindness that brought a smile to anyone she met. She will be missed at the local golf course, where she and Bruce continued to play until her last year.

Cheryl faced Alzheimer's disease with grace and resilience from her diagnosis in 2019 until her peaceful passing at the Wynyard Golden Acres Care Home. The family would like to give a special thank you to all her special friends and staff at Golden Acres for the love and comfort they provided Cheryl in her final years.

A celebration of life will be held in Wynyard at a later date with details to follow.
