CADWELL, Robert Vincent

May 19, 1970 - July 17, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Rob) Vincent Cadwell, at home on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at the age of 52 years. Rob will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Bobbie, as well as many extended family and friends including his brother from another mother, Darryl Salvucci. Rob was predeceased by his mother, Madalene; father, Don; and sister, Michelle.

Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, with a few childhood years spent in Fort McMurray, Rob graduated from Forest Lawn High School, moved to Spruce Grove and quickly transitioned into a life as a successful businessman and entrepreneur. He built and operated a trucking business for more than 23 years where he spent most of his hours on the open road seeing things that most people never will. Following that, he started up an equipment rental business in Airdrie, AB, the community he and Bobbie made their home for the past five years.

Growing up, Rob was a respected athlete in both volleyball and baseball. You can even find his name at the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame in Red Deer, AB if you stop for a visit. Rob had a love of vehicles from an early age and owned more than 50 of his own over the years, from motorcycles to sports cars to ‘big trucks’, as he so lovingly referred to his semi trucks. Rob had an excellent sense of humour, incredible wit, loved to chit-chat and made friends wherever he went. If you met him once, you never forgot him. His big heart and bright smile will be missed by many.

Fittingly, Rob’s last few months were filled with love and visits with family and friends from near and far, and if you stopped in for a visit at their home, it was rare to find Rob and Bobbie alone. During those visits, there were lots of wonderful memories, stories, laughs, and of course, tears.

As Rob never wanted to be the centre of attention, his wishes to not have a Funeral Service will be honoured. However, we would love to celebrate Rob’s life with as many people as possible at a future date. Details of the celebration of Rob’s life will follow.
