David Richard Burger

It is with sorrowful hearts that we announce the death of David Richard Burger on October 9, 2021 at Surrey Memorial Hospital after a short illness.

Dave was predeceased by his parents, Matthew and Margaret Burger. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Cathy; and children Sara, Susan, Matthew (Lisa), Kevin and Laura (Brandon), 4 grandchildren, as well as a large extended family.

Dave was a Transit Supervisor for 35 years with Coast Mountain Bus Company and retired in 2016.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 22630 – 48th Avenue, Langley, internment at Langley Lawn Cemetery, 4393 – 208th Street, Langley, followed by a luncheon at the Church.

May he rest in peace.

Worked with Dave for 10 yrs in Surrey and he was tough and gruff, but had a sense of humour. Once you got to know him and he knew you did your job right he was a great guy to chat with. Missed him these last few years since he retired. My condolences for your loss. Rest in peace Dave.

Hi Cathy, so sorry to hear about Dave. I worked with Davey for many years as a transit supervisor. I'm sure my name came up in the past. He was a very respected gentleman and great co- worker.
