BULLOUGH, Lois Allison
February 3, 1925 – January 2, 2017
Lois Bullough (nee Douglas) passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the age of 91 years. Lois was a proud third generation Southern Alberta pioneer. She grew up around Calgary and attended Cliff Bungalow School, and later graduated from Western Canada High School. She lived in Australia for 3 years after WWII, and moved back to Calgary in 1948. She enjoyed rock hounding, walking, RV’ing, metal detecting, volunteering at St. Andrews United Church, and spending time at the cabin at Ghost Lake Village.
Lois is survived by her son, Richard James; stepson, Dave (Sandy) Bullough; granddaughters, Shannon and Sheri (Trevor); and four great grandchildren, Jaxon, Calder, Deven, and Brylie. Lois was predeceased by her husband, Ty; brother, Ken, and sister, Marguerite.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Chinook Care Center for their care and kindness to Lois.
The family will be holding private graveside prayers at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 200, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 2P5.
