July 11, 2019

George Bull
Passed away peacefully on July 11, 2019 with family by his side at Pasqua Hospital.  George was born on August 31, 1918 in Kedleston, Saskatchewan.  He almost celebrated his 101st birthday. He was very proud to be a Veteran of the RCAF.  He served as a flight mechanic in Fort McLeod, Alberta where he met his wife Emily as she served as a WREN.    George and Emily farmed on the family homestead in Kedleston as well as farmland north of Regina.  The Bull family farm homestead was recognized by the Province of Saskatchewan as being farmed for over 100 years.  George went on to become a partner in Plains Equipment a very successful Massey Ferguson Dealership in Regina.  Once he retired, George and Emily spent many wonderful years as snowbirds in Mesa, Arizona.  They often travelled to the RCAF reunions and international destinations.  They enjoyed their cottage at Highwood Beach for many many years with family and friends. Sadly Emily passed away in May of 2001. At the age of 93, George moved to College Park where he resided independently until his death.  He made many new friends and appreciated all the caring and kind staff.  George is survived by his daughters Joanne Young and son-in-law Ron of Kelowna, B. C., Janice Hawkey and son-in-law Bob of Highwood Beach, SK., 5 grandchildren Shelby Young, Rick, Rob and David Hawkey, Laura Paul and 7 great grandchildren. A Celebration of George’s Life will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 2 PM at The Travelodge Hotel Regina, SK, 4177 Albert Street followed by a reception. We would like to sincerely acknowledge the Doctors and Nursing Staff of Pasqua Hospital 3D for their tender and loving care.

In the decade plus I was one of George's business partners, he was a man of great integrity devoted to his family as they were to him. After his retirement , thanks to Joanne and Ron were able to get regular updates on his well being and remained friends. He was a good man who had a good life.
