August 1, 1946 – July 27, 2014

Keith, beloved husband of Cynthia, passed away suddenly with his family by his side at the age of 67. Keith was born in Pembroke, ON, moved to Ottawa and married his life partner Cynthia. They moved to Calgary, AB and then on to Airdrie where he established a successful plumbing company. Besides loving his family, he also loved hunting, fishing and camping at Lake Koocanusa.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Cynthia; daughter Roxanne (Daniel), son Jason (Angela), son Derrick (Lindsay); 8 beautiful grandchildren, Isabella, Leighton, Rayne, Alexander, Juliana, Ireland, Clara, Levi; as well as his siblings, Evelyn, Stanley, Beverly, Sandra, Debbie, Wendy and their spouses. He is predeceased by his father Wallace, his mother Alice (Cliche) and his brother Fernie.

A Visitation will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 1305 Main Street, Airdrie, AB from 6:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul’s Catholic Church on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, #200, 119 – 14 Street NW, Calgary, AB, T2N 1Z6.

Our sincerest condolences to your family. I will always remember Keith (Mr. Bucholtz) with such fondness, as he was such an important part of my life, growing up in Airdrie. His "all too familiar" sneaky smile and laugh every time he teased me and called me "De-nephew". Even many years later, when I was all "grown up"...he still enjoyed his joke with me, and so did I. Others tried to tease me with the same joke, but Keith always had the original credit in my eyes. He will be sadly missed, and I will think of him and your family often. We are so sorry to hear of Keith's passing and extend our sincerest condolences. He was a great man and a wonderful neighbour. Whenever Ed passes by Keith's garage, he will give a silent "Top of the morning to you" and I am sure Keith will greet him back with a big smile and a "How's it going"? Ed and I will miss our little visits with Keith and the laughs we shared.

Dear Cindy and family. We are all still numb with the shock of this sudden loss. Keith was such a good personal friend and a huge ray of sunshine to all those whose lives he touched. He was so gifted as the man-of-all-trades who could fix any thing, any time and any where, in the blink of an eye and always with a smile on his face. He even made homemade bread and it was just the best ! Cynthia, you, the children and grand-children meant the world to Keith and he was very blessed with your love and devotion in return. Saddened by the news of Kieth's death. It is over 40 years since Kieth did some plumbing in our basement to make ready for the birth of our daughter, Sarah If my memory can be counted on I helped him with his tax return as well. Sorry to hear of your loss, hopefully knowing that Keith was a positive influence on so many as a family man, an entrepreneur, or simply as a friend will be of some comfort in dealing with Keith’s passing. Keith was so proud of his kids, and often spoke of their successes. He had many stories, and he’d share some of his life lessons in a way that offered guidance and insight to some of the trials we all come across. When he spoke of the Ottawa Valley, or Lake Koocanusa it made you want to pack up and head there the first chance you had. His sometimes mischievous grin was often a warning that some good hearted scheme was about to unfold. He was an empathetic man, while running his Plumbing Company, he was known to “adjust the bill” for someone who was dealing with hard times. I lost rack of Keith over the years, but none the less, Keith will be missed, and the positive influence he had on so many will live on in our hearts, and our actions… God Bless

Cindy and family: I'm so sad to hear of Keith's passing. He was a great family man and friend - Keith never knew a stranger. He was always there to help in times of need, whether it was laying a slate floor, painting, plumbing, laying sod or helping move. Keith was a great tradesman and excelled at whatever chore was at hand. I also have to say he was the best fishing buddy ever and I think fondly of the times I spent with Keith, you and your kids fishing in La Ronge. There is a new hole in my heart today and Keith will be forever missed but fondly remembered.
