December 15, 1926 ~ September 12, 2017

Helen Brimacombe (nee Murray), aka TROUBLE, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Medical Center in Calgary on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the age of 90 years. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Bonnie (Bruce) Hosking, Diane (Patrick) O’Reilly and Donna (Dave) Knee; son, Leslie (Connie) Brimacombe; grandchildren, Reid (Kim), Hope (Mike), Bridgette (Tom), Kathleen, Annie, Shawn, Cory (Melissa), Scott (Lacey), Kristen and Meaghan (Steve); great grandchildren, Jaxen, Phoenix, Madison, Kenzie, Andi Lynne and Lucinda; and nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by the love of her life, her husband, Victor Alexander Brimacombe.

Helen’s pride and passion was being a White Hatter until the age of 90. As per Helen’s wishes, no Service will be held. The family would like to thank the Poppy Fund for their help throughout the years, and are grateful to the fantastic staff at Foothills, Unit 112.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen’s honor to The Poppy Fund, 4539 – 6 Street NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 3Z6.

I feel so fortunate to have had so many years with Nanny. She got to watch me grow up, graduate college, get married, have her two great grandsons and they in turn got to have her in their lives to watch them grow up too. We will all miss her so much, her giggle was contagious, her smile lit up a room and she never was afraid to have fun or speak her mind. She was "trouble". But the best kind! ❤️

Bonnie and Family: We were so shocked to learn about Helen. She truly was a remarkable lady who lived for her family. Her energy was unbelievable. Wow the stories on the scooters crossing the bridge into Inglewood with friends and so many more. Running in to her at the airport, how she loved that job and was a proud Calgarian and Canadian. Helen was a neighbour to my husband and myself many years ago in our apartment building in Port Credit. My son was just a toddler at that time (1986? 1987?) She was a wonderful neighbour and friend. Through the years we exchanged Christmas cards and I always looked forward to hers because she shared everything she had been up to during the year. This year my Christmas card was returned, and I had no idea why until I decided to do a bit of a google search. Please accept my most sincere condolences. She was an amazing lady, and I will never forget her kindness and her keen wit! Goodbye my old friend. :( :(
