BOWEN, Gay Venora

Gay was born June 18, 1937 in Edmonton and passed Thursday, February 12, 2015 in Airdrie at the age of 77 years. She was predeceased by her beloved, Lloyd John and son, Dale.

Witty and opinionated, Gay will be remembered for her humor & strong will. She lived life entirely on her terms.

She leaves behind daughters, Leanne Huber and Shelly (Joel Siegel); son, Barry (Darrell Warren); granddaughter, Jody; extended family, Anne Marie, Jim & James Cox and Gabby Cat.

The family cannot express enough gratitude to the entire staff at Bethany Care Airdrie for their humor, care & compassion; and to Tina & Bill Dyer for their friendship & generosity.

In lieu of flowers the family appreciate donations be made in Gay's memory to the Bethany Care Society, 1736 - 1st Avenue NW, Airdrie, AB, T4B 2C6.

Shelley, It was with great pleasure that I got to meet with upi and all of your family - I will miss your visits and I am sad I never got to say goodbye to you. I will always remember Gay's smile and her witty personality. I will truly miss your mother and will think of her often, you will now have both parents watching you from above. I am so glad I got to meet Gay Bowen in this lifetime. I am grateful to her for producing my terrific friend Shelly, who in turn produced my wonderful friend Jody. In the words of our friend Louise."the apple doesn't fall far from the tree". Good thing I say. The wit, opinions and and strong will live on. Love to you both, and condolences to all the family.
