Hilda Anne Bonaparte

Heaven has been blessed with one more angel in the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Hilda was born on the island of Spice Grenada, and was sponsored to Canada in 1973 by her sister. She and her youngest daughter joined the two daughters already in Canada.  The rest of the family joined them later on. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 30 years, James; her mother, Emelda, and brother, Francis.  Hilda is survived by her six children, Martin, Sarah, Genevieve, Sebastian, Jacinta and Sandra; 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Morain; nephew, Wendell, and all of their spouses and significant others. Hilda was a compassionate nurse’s assistant until her retirement in 1987.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, caring sister and aunt, and trusted friend. Her caring touch, encouraging words, and sweet smile will be remembered by all who loved her.  You could usually spot Hilda in a crowd sporting one of her elegant, wide hats. A Prayer Vigil will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 7:00 pm at St. Michael’s Church, 800 - 85 Street S.W., Calgary, Alberta.  Funeral Service  will also be held at St. Michael’s on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 11:00 am, followed by a reception.  Interment details will be available at the Service.
