Iris Blanchard

Iris Blanchard(nee Speed): passed away at Langley Lodge on October 11, 2011 at the age of 79 in the presence of her loving family. Iris will be missed and remembered by her beloved husband of 61years Bob; sister Roberta; sisters-in-law Helen (John), Claire; daughters Beth, Sue (Ernie), Michele (Ken); son David; 8 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Iris’ life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday October 22, 2011 at Newlands Golf and Country Club 21025 – 48 Ave., Langley B.C. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the B.C. Alzheimer’s Society.

You are also invited to leave a personal message of condolence.

I am hoping this reaches members of the Bob and Iris Blanchard Family. I am sorry for the passing of Iris. I am Craig Nichols, son of Katharine van Kerkhoff, a Vancouver high school friend of Iris and Bob. I have a few photos of Iris, Bob and baby Beth which I would like to share with you to add to your memories of your mom. I am leave my email address craign86@telus.net and I hope someone with reach out. Iris must have been a close friend of my mother's as she kept the photos until my mother's passing in 2015. Again, sorry for your lose. I hope that Bob is still with you.
