Shirley Blair was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 18, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at age 81.

She was known for her kind and beautiful heart. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Shirley. She loved spending time in her garden, going for walks and enjoying nature.

Family was the most important thing to her. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Linda, Tal (Chris), Shelley (Mark), and Kelly; her granddaughters, Shanna (Tyler), and Kortney (Zakk); and great grandson, Orion. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Gerald; her parents, Stanley and Greta Fiske; and her son-in-law, Sheldon.

At Shirley’s request, there will be no funeral service, instead she has asked to take your friends and loved ones on a nature walk or a drive into the country. When you feel a breeze, she will be there. Shirley’s life will be celebrated with a private family gathering later. To honour her character, we ask for those that wish to make a donation in Shirley’s name that you choose one of her favourite charities: The War Amps or the Medicine River Wildlife Centre.
