BARR, Carol Marie (Brown)

Carol Marie Barr passed away in Calgary, Alberta on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at the age of 67 years. Carol is lovingly remembered by her son, Gerald Barr (Michelle); her companion of many years, Bill Bergin; her sister, Yvonne Lovig; her brother, Arnie Brown; and many friends and family. She is predeceased by her husband David Malcolm (Rusty) Barr. Mom was a native Albertan who became a snowbird after retirement where she enjoyed the California winters with her dog, Luella by her side. Mom will be remembered for her sense of humour, love of life, and independent spirit. Her love of music, both playing and listening was always a big part of her life. New technology was her favorite interest and she always had the latest in electronic devices.

As per Carol's wishes, no formal Service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol's memory may be made to the Alberta SPCA, 10806 – 124 Street NW, Edmonton, AB, T5M 0H3.

Carol was a very special friend. We will miss her happy spirit and wit that gave many of us good laughs. Her support and friendship was always greatly appreciated. God has another special angel. May the good memories give family and friends peace in their hearts.

I'm so sorry to read about your mother. She messaged me that she was going into hospice, but I was unable to contact her and she never got back to me. I knew her from online and then we met here in Calgary and visited with each other, even down south. I was in Arizona and she was usually in California, though we did get together when she was in Arizona, south of Phoenix. She was a good lady. Luella and my dog, Tunerk, played when we visited.
