NEUFELD, Abram (Abe)

March 23, 1930 – July 26, 2026

Abe Neufeld, 96, of Burnaby, passed away peacefully on the morning of July 26, 2026 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Tache Municipality, Manitoba, and moved to B.C. in 1958.

Abe leaves Sherry, his loving wife of 61 years and his cherished Daughters Lea and Tracy, Grandchildren; Lisa (Joe), Melanie (Colin), Kyle (Adam), Crystal, Angela, Nicolas, Travis; Great Grandchildren: Maya, Ella, Ciara; Christabella, Donnatella; Grayson, Emmett, Avaya, Theodore. He is also survived by his sisters Anna, Mary and Martha as well as many beloved family members and friends.

Abe was predeceased by his parents, Abram and Katherina, brothers John, Peter and Henry, sister Betty, son-in-law George.

Our family extends our heartfelt thanks to everyone at St. Michael’s Hospice and Belvedere Care Centre who provided Abe with such exceptional care throughout his illness. Your compassion, kindness and support meant more than words can express.

A service will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 2:00pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, 2675 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, BC.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Children’s Hospital would have please Abe.
