Kenneth David Bromley

July 1st, 1940 ~ January 25th, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth David Bromley (beloved husband, father and papa).  Ken passed away peacefully at Kin Village in Tsawwassen on Jan.25 with his family by his side.  Ken is survived by his wife Judy, brother Ron (nephews Mark, Don and niece Jenny), sister Pam, daughters Debbie (Brian) & Linda (Edward), five grandchildren Kathy, Tom, Zoe, Leisha & Ashlee, and many other extended family members and friends.

Ken was born in Vancouver, BC to parents Horace and Genevieve, and spent his teen years growing up in Sechelt with his older brother, Ron, and younger sister, Pam.    After his teens, he moved back to the mainland and lived in South Vancouver, then moved to Richmond, and finally Tsawwassen where he enjoyed retirement.

Ken had a very successful career (over 30 years) as a Senior Finance Inspector for the Royal Bank and included work trips to Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, and all over Canada.

Ken and wife Judy were married for 58 years and enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, Reno, Hawaii, the Panama Canal, cruises to Alaska, and also had a family house on the beach at Point Roberts for many years.    We all have fond memories of the fun at Point Roberts.   Ken loved fishing and used to catch huge salmon.   He was always the one that caught the biggest fish.   He also was an avid golfer and won the Royal Bank tournament many years in a row.

Ken enjoyed spending time with family and many friends.  He will be missed greatly by all that knew him.

A private family celebration will be happening at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kin Village at https://kinvillage.org/donate/

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Kin Village (Parkview) who gave Ken the absolute best in care.  Their dedication and kindness will always be remembered.

Messages:

My deepest condolences, Ken was a long lost relative of ours, my dad‘s nephew. I am son of Gordon Bromley and we have pictures of Ken in our old photo albums. He gave me and my brothers and sister silver dollars every year and I still have the collection.

A good friend for many years and we shall miss him greatly. Our thoughts are with Judy and the family at this sad and difficult time.

Our thoughts are with you all at this time. Keith and Yvonne

Our thoughts are with your family at this sad time.

Always the friendly gentleman and so tolerant of we inferior Early Bird golfers. It was a pleasure to know Ken and a sorrow to hear of his passing. My sympathy to his loved ones. Ken Appleby

We enjoyed our friendship over the past 25 years! We will miss him...
