Rudy Polok

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rudy Polok, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, treasured friend.

Rudy was born in Vislav Poland in 1933. On January 16th, 2019, surrounded by family Rudy passed away. He always said, “To be absent from the body is to be in the presence of the Lord”. We know, that he is at rest with his Lord in glory.

Rudy is pre-deceased by his Mother Susan, Father, Andrew, Sisters Amelia and Mary, and Brothers, Edward, Andrew and John. Rudy was married September 22, 1962 and is survived by his beloved wife Sandra, their daughter Kimberly (Wilf) Rast, Diana (Mark) Bergey, grand daughter,  Jennipher Needham (husband Adam and great grandchildren Bria, Gracie and Ellie), Grandsons Aaron and Chris Bergey. Daughter, Susan (Jim) Cullen, Grandson James Cullen (wife Olivia and great grandchildren Owen and Parker) Granddaughter Alycia Cullen ( Ian McFarlane and great granddaughter Callie), Son Richard Polok (Vicki Flett) (Grandchildren Trevor, Niklas, Noah and Krystina).

The family would like to express our sincerest thanks to the Langley Hospice staff who blessed us all through the exceptional care and compassion given to our dear father on this journey. Thank you to dear friend Mr. Don Strangway for your unwavering support and compassion. Thank you especially for the gift of music you gave for our father to listen to. When he was too weak to take nourishment, it gave him strength to lift his hands in praise. God bless you. Thank you also to Reverend Bill Booth (Trinity Memorial United Church, Abbotsford ) for your loving support in guiding us through this time.

A service followed by a reception together with family and friends will be held in Abbotsford, BC at Trinity Memorial United Church on Sunday, February 3rd at 1:30 PM.
