June 3rd, 2024

October 1940 – June 2024

With great sadness we announce the passing of Ken. He passed away at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital in Abbotsford, BC with family by his side.

He is survived by his brother, Al (Eileen), his children Mark (Charlene), Laurie (Larry), Sharon (Dean), his stepchildren, Deanna (Cornell), Roger (Pam), and Jodi (Shane), his grandchildren, Jordyn, Sydney, James, Nicole (Brad), Delaney (Broadrick), Shanda (Hunter), Shayna, Tabitha, Michael, Tracey, Keith (Haruka), Corey, Kurtis (Mars), his great grandchildren, Maddox, Aspen, Kenta, and Lily, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Arlene, his parents Bill and Grace, and his brother Mac.

He was born in Saskatchewan, spent his childhood and early life in Manitoba, and then moved to British Columbia in the early 80’s. His entire career, 62 years, was spent in the Grain Industry / Sales, and he was a specialist in his field with unrivalled knowledge.  Outside of his work, he had a passion for horticulture, and always kept his landscaping impeccable.

A special “thank you” to the Nursing and Care Aide staff in CCU for the care that they provided during his time at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital, your commitment and compassion will never be forgotten.

Ken will be interred in Manitoba.

As he would like to state, “we’ll get there” during a challenging or difficult time, we would like to take a moment to say, “we know you got there, and hope that you and Mom are enjoying a dance together”.

We’ll miss you, Dad.
