Robin Lee Wiebe

November 28th, 2023

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Robin Lee Wiebe (nee Voigt) on the 28th day of November 2023 at the age of 62. Despite immense bravery with the short battle and diagnosis of liver cancer, Robin peacefully passed at home in Aldergrove, BC, as she wanted, surrounded by her daughters; Charlotte Wiebe, Danielle Wiebe and devoted loving husband of 38 years, Don Wiebe.

Born December 18, 1960, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, adopted at 2 months old to William and Charlotte Voigt whom she adored. Predeceased by her loving parents, brother bill, sister Judith (Alan), survived by her loving sister Irene and brothers Rick (Trish), and Eddie. Niece Karen Weeks, Dana and many other nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews whom she left behind. Growing up in Surrey, British Columbia, Robin often would tell stories about living on the farm with her family as a child and fond memories of her horse she loved. Married May 25, 1985, then moved to Aldergrove, BC in 1989 where Don and herself raised their children and many, many fur babies in their forever home. Known for her selflessness, good humour and generous spirit, Robin touched everyone she met and never let life’s many hardships hold her back. Robin’s family and friends were her world and loved her big family deeply. She would always put their needs and interests above her own and be the first to offer help and guidance.

Robin enjoyed cooking, collecting recipes, and making her famous butter tarts during the holidays. Robin loved to go shopping and would help others get the best deals at the local thrift and grocery stores by giving out her coupons and advice. As a cashier at Langley Save on Foods in 2003. Robin loved to be outside gardening, tending to her precious roses. Feeding birds, and squirrels, suntanning in the backyard and evening beer in her hot tub while watching her favourite sitcoms. Robin enjoyed the simplicity of things in life and was always looking for a new challenge or DIY projects even in her final days saying, “I have things to do!” and fought hard to stay with us as long as she did.

Robin will be dearly missed by all who knew her and although our hearts were not ready, Robin, the ever last of the party, now has her wings, smiling down on those she loved, with a big thumbs up. The Wiebe family thanks all those who helped Robin and our family during this time and ask that Robin be remembered for the joy she brought others in life, not the sadness of her passing.
