Messages:

Thank you all for your kind words. The kindness of all the family will last a lifetime for me.

Sincere condolences to the family of Cecil Gauthier. I was sad to learn of his passing, as well as that of his dear wife, Marie. Cecil and Marie were friends of my parents, Don and Isabelle MacDonald. They were a kind presence in my life when I was a young girl, as were Omer and Rita, Frank, Pat, Paul, and Marc. I am now 74 years old but still have fond memories of good times with the Gauthiers on Sea Island, in Burnaby, at Cultus Lake, and in the Okanagan. My sister Annabelle and I are thinking of you all at this difficult time.

Lisa, my memories of your parents are some of the happiest of my childhood and early years as a mother. Your dad made me a crib for our first baby and your mom made her clothes. Their visits to Pembroke were always highly anticipated because of their generous nature. We loved visiting the house in B.C. and we're so well received. We are praying for Uncle Cecil but know that he is now with his beloved Marie. Simone (Proulx) and John Joanisse

Dear Lisa and Family: We extend our sympathies on the passing of your father. Please know that our Ottawa family will prayerfully remember your father. When we visited with Uncle Cecil and Aunt Marie we were inspired by their generosity and their loving attitude to family and friends. We admired Cecil's creative talents, his organized home and shop, his caring manner, and his positive disposition. May your happy memories of your father give you comfort in your loss. Garry and Janet Gauthier
