Lois Pearl Huntley

March 25th, 2024

Lois passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024 with family at her side. She will be loved and missed forever by her two daughters Heather (Hans) and Penny (David (deceased 2014)) and their families. Lois has four grandchildren Kerri (Titus), Mandy (Wade), Tanya (Geoff), Ryan (Natalie). As well she was blessed with ten great grandchildren, Jade, Haven, Hailey, Noah, Cailyn, Shaye, Gavin, Kellan, Logan and Peyton. Lois was predeceased by her husband Jack in 2010.

She was never happier than when we were all together. Many times it was at her house. There was always a roast in the oven along with a blueberry pie on a Sunday afternoon and if you happened to stop over you were always invited to dinner.

Lois was born in Indian Head Saskatchewan. She had many fond memories growing up there and returning for summer vacation to visit numerous relatives.

Lois worked as a stenographer at CIBC for 38 years. She was a Sorority sister, CGIT leader, a poet, President of the PTA and very involved with her church. Lois always had a smile for you. She was a loyal friend and a special aunt to many. A superwoman of her time and a mentor to many.

Lois and Jack’s home was always open for a cup of tea and a cookie. They had a wide array of friends and family. A home filled with BBQing, dinners, laughs, songs and even dancing. Fun, silliness and love were always on the menu.

Lois later moved to Zion Park Manor where she received the finest care we could ask for. Lois developed dementia but through it all could still sing a song and tell a story. The staff at Zion were loving and nurturing to her and the family throughout her stay and we cannot thank them enough.

We’ll love you forever Mom.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 20th at 1:30.  Cloverdale United Church, 17575-58A Avenue, Surrey, BC.
