December 16th, 2021

It is with deep sadness we announce that Andy Kolodziezak, late of Regina, SK, passed away suddenly on December 16, 2021 at the age of 86 years.

Andy was born August 30, 1935 at home on the farm in Melville, SK to Charlie and Mary Kolodziezak. He attended grade school in a one room school house and then high school in Melville. Andy was hired on at Canadian National Railroad in Melville in 1955 and moved to Regina soon after. Andy met Joan Putz in 1961 and they were married on June 22, 1963. They had two children, Dona and David. Andy was a proud father and grandfather and loved to talk about his kids and grandchildren. Andy worked for CNR for 37 years before retiring in 1992.

Andy was an avid Roughrider fan holding a season ticket for over 50 years. He was also a great gardener, always having the greenest lawn and the most beautiful flowers in the neighbourhood. Andy was a kind and generous man who would always offer to help in any way he could. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed conversation. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Andy was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Mary (nee Holowka) Kolodziezak; his brothers Frank and Charles and brother-in-law Maurice Yelle; mother and father-in-law Carl and Margaret Putz (Page) and step father-in-law, David Page; as well as brother-in-law Robert Putz.
