Jane Eleanor Deutsch

July 23rd, 2021

DEUTSCH (Dosch), Jane Eleanor passed away peacefully on July 23, 2021 at the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Regina, SK.

Jane was predeceased by her father Carl; father-in-law and mother-in-law William and Mary; siblings Rosealie and Ardean shortly after birth; and nephews Todd and Jeff.

Jane is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Gerard (Gerry); sons Robert (Monika) Spencer and Natalia; Mitchell (Ruth) Myles (Courtney) Onyx, Tyree, Cooper and Kai; Kayla (Jesse); mother Geraldine; siblings Gwen (Gil), Lionel (MaryAnn), Carleen (Greg), Leland, Fay (Murray) and Gordon; and many nieces and nephews.

Jane was born and raised on the family farm in Annaheim, SK and attended school in Annaheim and St. Ursulas Academy, Bruno, SK. She went to work for CIBC bank shortly after graduating and loved the contact with the public which was prevalent at that time. Jane and Gerry were married in 1971 and moved to North Battleford, SK in 1973 where their two sons were born. Many good friends were made during the 17 years they spent in North Battleford and who are still treasured to this day. Jane worked for the bank for 30 years and finally went to work for Information Services Corporation, Regina, when the family moved there in 1990. Although Jane was busy working and raising her two sons she always had time for her favourite pastime, playing cards and games. She loved nothing better than to teach her grandchildren a variety of games which became the norm for them and the many friends and family whenever there was a get together. Jane treasured these times the most and loved to laugh and have a good time. Hugs became the norm for greeting when anyone got together with her and is now surely expected. Jane loved to travel and did so on many occasions with her husband to various destinations along with friends and family as well as on their own for a brief winter getaway. Camping was by far Jane’s favourite pastime and many camping trips were taken, especially to Kimball Lake with friends and St. Brieux with family over many years.
