George Bradshaw

June 23rd, 2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce Dad’s passing on Wednesday, June 23, 2021.

His smile, quick wit and caring disposition will be missed by all who knew him.  He was predeceased by his wife Patt and is survived by daughters Jan (Bob), Lynda (Robin) and grandchildren Scott and Lauren (Nick) and his very special great-grandson Oliver.

Dad’s life was well-lived. He served his country in the RCAF from 1949-1955. He continued his love of flying through his 28 years as a pilot for Saskatchewan Air Ambulance. He saved countless lives by landing in fields, on highways and in the water, to expedite treatment of those who would not have made it by ground ambulance. He was a founding member of All Saints Anglican Church and enjoyed many years of fellowship through the choir and various church positions and projects. He was a proud member of the Wa Wa Shrine Temple for over 35 years, volunteering countless hours to help the Shriners Children’s Hospitals.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

Donations in his memory can be made to All Saints Anglican Church or the Wa Wa Shrine Temple.

Messages:

So very sorry to hear.. Met George and Patt when they would come for a visit to see Lynda.. many games if cards with many snacks, drinks and of course many laughs.. My best memories of George was on the golf course where he would take Lynda’s and my money with a big smile on his face. He really was like my second DAD Condolences to Lynda, Jan and family Hugs

Dad met George when he drove the ambulance (also the grocery deliver van) in Kipling. Dad would meet George at the airstrip East of town then go back to the store. A friendship developed and we had many happy times at our cottage at Kenosee. I remember his smile so well. A great couple, sorry for your loss.

So sorry to learn of George’s passing. Patt and George were the nicest neighbors a person could ever ask for. It was like having a second set of parents just steps away. Sending love and sympathies to Jan, Lynda and families. (Brian Gebert and family)
