Rhonda Bowman

January 4th, 2021

Rhonda Bowman (Davis) passed away peacefully on January 4, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. Rhonda’s journey began in Regina, Saskatchewan with lots of aunties, uncles, and numerous cousins with whom she loved to spend time listening to old records of Motown hits, laughing, dancing and playing cards. Her travels would take her to the United States where she did much the same. She loved a good cookout and playing dominoes with her friends and family.

Rhonda could walk into a room and light it up with her contagious smile and wonderful laugh; that is how she will be remembered.

The most significant part about Rhonda is how much love she had. She loved everybody and she was always willing to help no matter what was asked. She was a “ride or die” always have your back type of woman.

Rhonda also was a caregiver. She worked as a care aid while raising her 2 children. Later in life, she took care of her father as well as her grandchildren. She had a caring heart.

Rhonda will be deeply missed. Her journey could not have come at a more unique time in the world. I think the rest of her family will be waiting for the next dance, next card game, and next laugh right there at heaven’s door.

Rhonda is survived by her father Vernon Barrett of Kansas City, Missouri; mother Shirley Davis of Regina, Saskatchewan; daughter Leigha Brewster (Davis) and son Kyland Davis; grandchildren Traemon Ellison, Brooklyn Brewster, Jurni Brewster (Mini Mouse) Jayde, Kyland Jr, and Heavenly; siblings Reginald Davis, Andrew Davis (Dana), Allan Davis (Jennifer); as well as numerous family members and friends.
