Lynn Anne Agopsowicz (nee Scallon)

October 25th, 2021

Lynn Agopsowicz (nee Scallon) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 25, 2021 in Regina, Saskatchewan at the age of 67.

Lynn was born on April 23, 1954 in Montreal, Quebec. On August 25, 1973 she married John and two years later welcomed their daughter Kimberley. After they divorced, Lynn and Kim moved to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to live with their favourite Aunt Joy. In 1980, she met Darrell and they married on September 18, 1981. That same year they welcomed their daughter Heather and the following year their son Gregory. After Lynn and Darrell went their separate ways, she never remarried.

During her childhood Lynn enjoyed figure skating, playing sports, and was selected as Miss Centennial for the figure skating carnival in 1967. Lynn was an avid traveler and was always planning her next trip. Lynn travelled to many places from Jamaica, France, Scotland, Ireland, Holland, England, Switzerland, Germany, Wales, Italy, Hawaii and many other states, as well as across Canada. Her favourite place to visit was Nice, France. She loved to scrapbook all of her trips, family events and anything else she could! It was also very rare to see Lynn without her camera. She always wanted to capture every moment that she could. Lynn was a trickster at heart, even with declining health she loved to play jokes on her doctors and nurses and enjoyed recounting her best shenanigans to anyone listening.

Lynn was predeceased by her father William Scallon. She will be greatly missed by her mother Margaret Scallon; her brother William Scallon Jr; her children Kimberley (Shawn) Drew, Heather (Michael Robertson King) Miller and Gregory (Corey Sontag) Agopsowicz; grandchildren Mitchell Drew, Ashley Drew, Kelsey Miller, Kyle Sontag, Ryan Miller and Chloe Robertson King; as well as many extended family and friends.

The family will be hosting an intimate Celebration of Life on November 6, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in the Regina Floral Conservatory, 1450B - 4th Avenue, Regina, Saskatchewan. COVID-19 protocols will be in effect. Her ashes will be scattered on her birthday on April 23, 2022 with her father at Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge, Alberta where a plaque will be placed on the wall in her memory.

In lieu of flowers, Lynn has requested donations can be made to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (www.pattisonchildrens.ca).

Lynnie, a favourite cuz who was like a big sister to me when we would make the long summer vacation road trips from Saskatchewan to Montreal to visit the rellies! When she moved to Moose Jaw as a single mom she fit right into the loving chaos of the Lawson clan. So many sweet and funny memories of my Lynnie.
