Armande Gerein

March 27th, 2020

Armande Gerein, beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on March 27, 2020 at the age of 90 years. She was born in Montmartre, Saskatchewan on June 15, 1929, daughter of Paul and Elizabeth Beauchemin. Following her marriage to Leo Gerein in 1949, she moved to Odessa, then Regina where they resided until 1956. Another move took Leo, Armande and their young family to Edmonton, Alberta for the next eleven years when they returned to Regina and remained. Here they developed special friends and enjoyed being close to their extended family. Armande will be remembered for her kindness, her charitable spirit and her entrepreneurial acumen. Above all, her great love for and contributions to her family will always be cherished.

Armande was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years Leo; her brother Rene Beauchemin; and her sisters Simone Arndt, Alice Lueck and Cecile Weichel.

She will forever live on in the hearts of her daughters Louise (Louis) and Lorraine (Murray) and son Gary (Ingrid); five grandchildren Craig (Missy), Shawn (Emilie), Taylor, Clare and Carmelle; and great-grandson Lincoln. She is also survived by her sister Yolande Mish; brothers-in-law Barrie Lueck and Bob Arndt; and many nieces and nephews. Our special thanks to the caregivers of the Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home who filled Mom's last years with love and kindness.

A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan.
