Robert Arthur Lowden

Robert “Bob” Lowden passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022, at the age of 71 surrounded by his family. Loving father and husband, creative spirit, cherished teacher, and talented handyman.

 

Bob was born on March 31, 1950, to Jack and Dot Lowden in New Westminster, British Columbia. After graduating from Princess Margaret High School in 1967, Bob went on to gain his teaching Degree from University of British Columbia, where he completed an accelerated program to become a Secondary School Shop and Automotive Teacher.

 

After obtaining his teaching Degree Bob taught at North Surrey Secondary School in Surrey, British Columbia for 37 dedicated years.

 

In 2009, Bob retired and spent his time with family; cooking, taking up gardening, and each summer traveling to his favorite place, his cabin on Watch Lake in the Caribou of British Columbia.

 

Predeceased by his parents and eldest sister Wendye Lowden. Bob Lowden is survived by his wife Sharon of 36 years, their son Robbie (Drew), daughter Rachaelle (Nick), and eldest daughter Kristina, Bob’s eldest brother Gerry, younger sister Cathie and best friend his goldendoodle, Sierra.

I am so sorry for the loss you must be feeling. I did not get to know Bob well, but I enjoyed what time I spent with him and the rest of the family, and learning a bit about him. I am glad he had you guys and Sierra in his life. I'll keep you and your kids in my prayers! I pray especially that God will be near to you during this time.
