Magdolna "Magda" Szlovicsak

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our family matriarch Magda. She passed away peacefully at Laurel Place in Surrey. Magda was predeceased by her husband Louie in 2011.
Magda and her husband immigrated to Canada in 1957. They settled in the Cloverdale area, and in the early sixties bought their family farm. They had three children- Maria (Jim) sons Brent and Scott, Louie (Gail) daughters Sonja, Kelsey and Donnel, Peter (Pamela) daughters Kayla, Lauren and Tayler. Magda enjoyed her life on the farm, particularly in later years when her grandchildren would come to visit. She was a very loving person and enjoyed conversation and a good laugh. Always happy to have company and greeted everyone with a smile. She will be deeply missed.
The family would like to extend thanks to the caring and dedicated nursing staff at Laurel Place.
Magda's funeral service will be on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 11:30am. Precious Blood Parish, 17475 59 Ave., Surrey BC.

Hi Gail Mrs S lived a very interesting life, used to have a good chuckle when she would go onto 176th with her shotgun and rubber boots. Another step in our lives when we loose a loved one. I know you were a good daughter in law. All the kids and grandkids were a joy in her life. Take care.
