Monica Louise Davidson

October 24th, 2017

Monica passed away peacefully in Surrey, BC, in her 96th year, after a brief illness. She was born in Salmon Arm, BC to pioneering parents Cyril and Norah Black, and spent her childhood mainly in West Vancouver. Monica was predeceased by her first husband Jack Kearns and her second husband William Davidson. Monica lived very happily in her home in Langdale for 30 years and in retirement enjoyed travelling, her garden and beautiful view of Howe Sound. Monica lived independently until May 2017 when she became a resident of Westminster House Retirement Community in South Surrey. She enjoyed her short time there, and the family very much appreciated the excellent care extended by the staff. Monica is survived and will be greatly missed by her niece Louise, (John) and by other extended family.

Interment will be at the Capilano Cemetery in West Vancouver, which is close to the five-acre farm that the family owned in the 1930s.

You are invited to leave a message of condolence for the family.
