BOHNET, Victor Conrad

Victor Conrad Bohnet peacefully passed away at St. Michael's Palliative care on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the age of 72, after a long hard-fought battle with cancer.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Alzena (John) Penner of Coaldale, AB; and his son, Jason Bohnet of Fort Macleod, AB and the mother of his children, Trudy Bohnet; along with his grandchildren, Brad (Christina) Westerhoud, Jeff (Alyssa) Westerhoud, Dustin (Miriam) Penner, Delwin Penner, and Mary Bohnet; and his 3 great grandchildren; his sisters, Pansy and Brenda; as well as numerous family and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, Conrad and Hazel; and siblings, Paul, Fay, Evan and Nancy.

Victor had an amazing sense of humor which stayed with him right to his final days. He spent his life enjoying camping, fishing and time with friends and family. His perfect day was spent in the car driving for hours. It was never about the destination; it was always about the journey. He drove many hours and many back roads throughout Alberta, and B.C. Watching the fields grow and the animals run. Whether it was driving to Salmo, BC for a sandwich, or to Rocky Mountain house for a coffee, or on the back roads to his childhood homestead, he was always on the go. He spent many years as a tow truck driver which was his dream job, it allowed him the chance to drive everywhere and see all the country.

At our Dad’s request there will be no Funeral Service held, Victor asked for memorial cards to be made and if you would like one, please email ajpenner@hotmail.ca with your address.

Our family would like to thank all the doctors, and staff at the St Michael's Palliative for the kindness, and compassion they gave our Dad.
