Melvin is survived by wife Sharon; children Denise, Dale (Sharon), Wendy (Tom) and Walter (Puri); eight grandchildren Chantelle (Justin), Darcy (Ashley), Jonathon, Stephanie, Melinda, Matthew, Tyler and Cayla; two great-grandchildren Ryleigh and Emmett; brother Gordon (Cathy), sister in law Mary Ann and numerous neices, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 1:00pm – 3:30pm at the North Haven Community Association, 5003 North Haven Dr NW, Calgary, Alberta.

Our deepest condolences to Dale and his family. If he was anything like Dale, he must have been a wonderful human being.
Melvin will be missed. He had a contagious sense of humor and was always very vocal. True to his Watson heritage, usually had an opinion about something.
Denise and family , I am so deeply saddened for the loss of your Dad, My prayers are with you all. Denise your Dad was amazing guy to chat with. Always made me laugh.my heart goes out to you all.
